“I was a Brownie, Guide and Young Leader in Nailsea, North Somerset in the 1980’s and early 90’s. I benefitted greatly from this experience, growing in confidence and leadership skills that have benefitted me in my career as a teacher. I returned to guiding in 2005, since then I have held many roles. I am currently a Leader of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides as well as a Division Commissioner in Eastern Valley, Gwent. I would say my greatest guiding highlights are being a co-writer on the Rainbow Global Adventure Roundabout and taking my Brownies and Guides to Disneyland, Paris. I am extremely proud to be an active member of Girlguiding Cymru, providing opportunities for young members and leaders to gain skills for life through memorable experiences.”
