Big Gig 2026
Packed full of amazing pop performances, Girlguiding’s iconic music event Big Gig is back in 2026 – and it’s bigger than ever!
Big Gig is a massive concert just for Girlguiding. It’s packed with top pop performances and gives Guides, Rangers and leaders a fun, safe space to come together, celebrate Girlguiding and enjoy an unforgettable show with friends.
On Saturday 10 October 2026, we’re taking over Wembley Arena for two amazing shows. Each show can only hold up to 10,000 Guides, Rangers and leaders – so don’t miss out!
Here’s what you need to know:
Tickets on sale: Tuesday 9 December 2025 at 6.30pm.
Price: £40 per person.
Who can book? Only active members age 18+ on GO who have completed our recruitment checks (Safer Guiding and disclosure checks) can book tickets.
How do I book tickets for my unit? Tickets are digital and must be booked via the OVO Arena website. The link is coming soon.
When is payment needed? You'll need to make the payment at time of booking via debit/credit card.
Are tickets refundable? Tickets are non-refundable but can be passed on to another Girlguiding member.
How are tickets issued? Tickets are mobile or digital only. They use a dynamic barcode system, and this can be transferred between leaders if needed.
How many tickets can I book? There'll be a limited number of tickets you can buy at any one time. Larger group bookings will be available. There'll be more information on this soon.

Girlguiding Cymru International Team are looking for leaders to join the teams for our International programme 2026/27
We have 3 exciting events planned for next summer and ask leaders to apply join the teams already selected.
This year, Cronfa Ddwr is hosting the Royal Welsh Show, and Girlguiding Cymru is proud to be part of the action. We’re looking for enthusiastic Guides, Rangers, and Leaders to join our volunteer service team and help bring this iconic event to life.
This is your chance to experience one of Wales’ biggest events from the inside. You’ll build confidence, make new friends, and gain valuable experience, perfect if you’re working towards your Queen’s Guide Award or DofE service section.
It’s rewarding, fast-paced, and a lot of fun, but it’s also hard work, so come ready to get stuck in!
Dates: Sunday 19 July (arrival) – Thursday 23 July 2026 (departure)
Location: Accommodation at Plas Pencelli, with daily duties on the showground
Girls:
Guides (Year 7+) and Rangers
Can attend without their usual leaders
Priority given to those completing Queen’s Guide Award or DofE

This training will give you the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to make Girlguiding an inclusive and welcoming place for all members.
Objectives
·Know which forms and funding can be used to support young members and volunteers
·Recognise examples of inclusive decision making and leadership
·Suggest ways to adapt activities and meetings
·Know how to report incidents of discrimination
Accounts Training for Leaders
The aim of the training is to give leaders confidence and ensure they are aware of their responsibilities concerning keeping accounts.
This topic aims to encourage leaders to think about the bigger impact of communication – considering body language, tone, listening, and tone of voice in written communication too.
It will empower them to determine which style of communication is the best tool/media for communicating for their circumstances, and introduce the concept of managing difficult conversations.
Let’s get mentoring training
Aim: for Girlguiding mentors to be both competent and confident in their role providing support to Leaders in Training working on the Becoming a Leader programme
Outcomes:
· Describe the purpose and skills of a Girlguiding mentor
· Explain the role and how it fits with the Leader development programme
· Complete check-in meetings effectively and complete Check in sheets.

Girlguiding Cymru’s Ice Extravaganza has become a much-loved tradition, bringing together Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, and volunteers for unforgettable days of skating, laughter, and friendship. Held at Vindico arena in Cardiff, these events have seen thousands of girls take to the ice over the years, some for the first time, cheered on by their units and leaders.
