We are very proud to share new Guiding History resources page!
Our resources will include uniform and badge history clipart, downloadable games, and resources. We hope that our content will engage younger members, and encourage them to learn about the history of guiding.
We will be developing this page over time to add posters, booklets and more games.

Character Clipart
We have added all our characters to the downloadable zip file buttons. The images are png files with a transparent background.
All characters have the date range and name appropriate to the era as the file name.

The nineties
Did you know that Jeff Banks designed our uniform in the 90s? He designed a mix and match selection that could be used for all occasions. Jeff Banks was born in Ebbw Vale!
Research methods
The resources have been produced with the support of a small team of guiding historians to encourage members to engage and learn about our history.
We would especially like to thank Mair Watts, Elizabeth-Elwell-Cook, Anni Barnett, Georgina Stanley and Helen Green.
We would also like to thank Leslie’s guiding history site, the members of the ‘I Love Girlguiding History’ Facebook Group and Girlguiding Scotland for their excellent resource tools.

Please be aware that there may be some overlap of dates with uniform transitions.
If you have any photographs that may be useful to this project, we would love to see them. Any clear uniform images would be especially helpful.
We unfortunately cannot use copyrighted images.
