About
Girlguiding Anglesey is part of Girlguiding Cymru.
The County has units across Anglesey from Holyhead to Beaumaris and Llangoed, and from Amlwch to Menai Bridge and Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.
There are 2 Divisions which include the previous five Districts.
There has been Girlguiding on Anglesey since 1914 with units in Holyhead and Menai Bridge.
We offer girls and young women in the County a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. While giving them the chance to discover their full potential.

History
Girlguiding started on Anglesey in 1914 when units opened in Holyhead and Menai Bridge.
The First County Standard was made in 1925 by St Dunstans and was given to the Guides by Mr Johnston of Menai Bridge.
It was very well used, and was carried for the last time in 1987 at St David’s Cathedral. It is now on display at Anglesey Guide Centre.
Anglesey Guide house
Anglesey Guide house was opened in 1958 by Lady Baden Powell and has been run by Volunteers from Anglesey Girlguiding ever since.
