Girlguiding Meirionnydd county is part of Girlguiding Cymru. This county has 2 Districts.

We offer girls and young women in the county a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. While giving them the chance to discover their full potential.

History

Girlguiding Meirionnydd is part of Girlguiding Cymru.
In 1916 it was announced that Miss Rudyard Helpman has been appointed commissioner for Meirionnydd.

In 1919 it was reported that The Deputy Chief Commissioner for Wales stayed a few days last week in Penrhyndeudraeth, with the County Commissioner Miss Rudyard Helpman. Miss Nicholl visited Blaenau Festiniog where She formed a most promising new company of Guides with Miss Enid Davies as captain, and Miss Rollands as lieutenant.

The 1st Meirionnydd Company, was inspected, and afterwards they gave an excellent display of musical and wand drill. The Deputy Chief Commissioner complimented the Guides on their Commissioner complimented the Guides on their appearance and remarked she had never seen a better drill. Miss Nicholl then gave a campfire yarn followed by games. The evening ended with the enrolment of those Guides who have passed their "tenderfoot" test. The Dyffryn Company was formally registered at Headquarters and the girls are hoped to shortly pass their "tenderfoot" tests.

Did you know that Miss Rudyerd Helpman was at the 4th World Conference in the USA in 1926 where it was agreed that 22 February would be World Thinking Day!
