The Girlguiding Cymru Ice Extravaganza is coming to North Wales!

Get your skates ready – the Girlguiding Cymru Ice Extravaganza is coming to North Wales on Sunday 30 November 2025

Girlguiding Cymru’s Ice Extravaganza has become a much-loved tradition, bringing together Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, and volunteers for unforgettable days of skating, laughter, and friendship. Our Cardiff events have been extremely popular over the years, so we are very proud to be offering the event in North Wales.

This event includes a Ice skating family disco session followed by a match between Deeside Dragons and Leeds Knights 2! There are 250 spaces available for Girlguiding Cymru members.

Prices

Child (4-17 years) Skating and Match £13.00

Adult (18 +) Skating and Match £16.00

Adult (18 +) Match only £6.00

Please note that at least one leader per unit will be required to go on the ice with their girls.   All bookings are non-refundable.

Please note that while the Ice Extravaganza event is open to Girlguiding units that do not meet in Wales, the free leader spaces are funded by Sport Wales, so all leader places for non-Wales units would need to be paid for.

FAQ

  • Yes, at least one adult should be on the ice with the girls at all times. If your unit does not have a leader who is able to go on the ice, you may wish to ask a parent helper to accompany the group. Alternatively, please let us know in advance – if your group is small, we may be able to pair you with another unit for support.

  • Yes they can! Please note that while the Ice Extravaganza event is open to Girlguiding units that do not meet in Wales, the free leader spaces are funded by Sport Wales, so all leader places for non-Wales units would need to be paid for.

  • Yes there will be.
    Each unit will also need their own first aider though.

  • This event is for Girlguiding Cymru members only, You may bring parent helpers in line with ratios. Spaces are limited.
