A snapshot of girls’ and young women’s lives.

Every year Girlguiding asks over 2,500 girls and young women aged 7 to 21, both inside and outside of guiding, to tell us how they feel about their everyday lives.

Since 2009, Girlguiding has given girls and young women a platform to speak out on the issues that matter most to them through the Girls’ Attitudes Survey, our flagship research, made possible thanks to funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Now in its 17th year, the survey highlights the range of challenges girls face today, from appearance pressures to online harm, and how these continue to affect their confidence and wellbeing.
