 Share Your Girlguiding Voices for International Day of the Girl 2025!

This International Day of the Girl , 11 October 2025, Girlguiding Cymru is creating a special video to celebrate this years theme: “The girl I am, the change I lead.”

We would love to include girls from all sections.

How to take part

Record a short video clip of a girl completing one of the following prompts:

  • “I am…” – about self-expression, identity, and pride

  • “I want to…” – about the change she wants to lead, big or small

Example responses:

  • Rainbows: “I am kind.” / “I like to help my friends.”

  • Brownies: “I am sporty.” / “I want to do more recycling.”

  • Guides: “I am creative.” / “I like to speak up when things aren’t fair.”

  • Rangers: “I am intelligent.” / “I want to allow all girls to be heard.”

Filming guidelines

  • Film in portrait mode (vertical).

  • Girls should wear their uniform where possible.

  • Choose well-lit locations – extra points if they’re doing a fun activity!

  • Leave a little space on each side of the frame.

  • Welsh responses are very welcome!
