Girlguiding Cymru member Ruth Purnell was presented with the Laurel Award on 17th July 2022. 

The Laurel Award was presented for outstanding achievements to Girlguiding Central Glamorgan and Girlguiding Cymru.

The Laurel award celebrates exceptional service.
This is an award for an active member of Girlguiding who has made an outstanding contribution to guiding.

This is Girlguiding's second-highest honour and as such there are relatively few awards given each year.
