Dear Girlguiding Cymru Members

As you are aware Bev Martin, Cymru Chief Commissioner and the team, step down at the end of October after five amazing years.

Following recent recruitment for the Cymru Chief Commissioner position, I’m pleased to inform you Kathy Gunner has been successfully appointed. Kathy is currently a County Commissioner, trustee and an active leader, she will have a designate period from 1st August 2025 to shadow the current team.

Kathy said, “Volunteering with Girlguiding Cymru has given me so many wonderful experiences and opportunities and I am really looking forward to the challenge of our next adventure together”.

I’m sure when the time comes you will welcome and congratulate Kathy and indeed have plans to thank and congratulate the outgoing team in October 2025 recognising all of their achievements.
