About: Radyr Guide Centre can provide overnight accommodation to members of Girlguiding. The centre is run by Girlguiding Radyr but can be used by all members.

Facilities

  • Large Main Hall with tables and chairs, there is capacity to sleep up to 20 people in this hall, sleeping on the floor, leaving central walkway to main entrance and the emergency exit.

  • Small ante room with capacity for up to 3 adult leaders to sleep.

  • Kitchen with full range cooker, fridge, toaster, 2 kettles and microwave. There is crockery, cutlery, cooking pans, and general cooking equipment to cater for up to 23 people.

  • Two toilets, one with full disabled access.

  • There is a ramp available to provide disabled access to the hall.

  • There is a car park with space for ~ 10 cars

  • There are no showers at Radyr Guide Hall, hirers would have to provide their own sleeping

    mats and sleeping bags,

Booking details: Fees: A charge of £50 per night for up to ten people, then £5 per night for each additional person above the ten.


Local Attractions and public transport

Trains: trains run from Radyr station down the valley to Cardiff City Centre, or up the valleys to Pontypridd, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil, etc. It is ~ 1 mile walk from the Guide Centre.

Buses: The no.63 bus runs from Radyr to Cardiff City Centre, there is a bus stop 2 mins walk
from the Guide Centre.

Walking: Taff Trail, this is walking / cycling route that runs through the Taff Valley and is ~ 1 mile from Guide Centre following local paths.

Attractions
