Serve up some fun – Racketball Activators course for leaders and young leaders

Ready to discover new sports, build your leadership skills and have plenty of fun along the way? Join us for our Serve Up Some Fun – Racketball Activators course, a fantastic day of hands-on training for Girlguiding Cymru young leaders (14+) and volunteers.

Set in the stunning surroundings of Myddelton College, this exciting event will introduce you to a range of racket sports and equip you with the skills and confidence to help deliver activities within your unit.

Venue: Myddelton College
Arrival: 11.30am
Event time: 11.00am–5.00pm

During the day, participants will take part in training sessions delivered by leading national governing bodies:

  • Table Tennis Wales

  • Squash Wales / Sboncen Cymru

  • Badminton Cymru Wales

  • Pickleball Wales

Participants will choose three out of four sports to experience:

  • Pickleball

  • Badminton

  • Table Tennis

  • Squash

Session times

Session 1: 12.00pm – 1.00pm
Session 2: 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Session 3: 3.00pm – 4.00pm

Whether you're completely new to racket sports or looking to develop your skills, this course will give you practical ideas, leadership experience and plenty of inspiration to take back to your unit.

We want everyone to feel welcome and able to join in, so activities will be tailored to support participants of all ages, confidence levels and physical abilities.

Who can attend?

This event is open to:

  • Young leaders aged 14+

  • Rangers

  • Adult volunteers
